Facelift
Lift and reposition the deeper structures of the face and neck to restore a rested, youthful look — without appearing over-tightened.
Why the whole face matters
Our face drives first impressions. Dr. Javidnia has built her entire career around face and neck surgery, and she emphasizes that a surgeon must understand how both the superficial and the deep anatomical structures shape how the face looks, moves and expresses.
That understanding is the difference between a natural result and the over-tightened look sometimes seen in the media. A facelift addresses sagging structures of the face and neck: it softens jowls, tightens loose neck skin and muscle, and restores a rested, youthful appearance that still looks like you.
How it is done
Performed under general anesthetic or deep sedation at our on-site facility, a facelift is a day surgery lasting several hours. Techniques are chosen by depth — subcutaneous, SMAS, or deep plane — depending on your anatomy and goals.
Incisions follow the hairline, the natural crease in front of the ear, and around and behind the ear. A small incision under the chin may be used to tighten the neck muscles. A facelift is often combined with submental liposuction or facial fat augmentation for a complete result.
Recovery
A snug dressing prevents fluid collection and is changed the next day. Bruising, swelling and numbness are expected. You can shower and gently wash your hair after three to four days, and sutures come out around days seven to ten.
Most patients return to work and social life by the second week, with residual swelling settling over the following months. Our team helps with makeup and recovery along the way.
