Earlobe Repair
Repair torn, stretched or gauged earlobes with careful attention to symmetry and hidden scars.
Who it suits
Patients seek earlobe repair for piercings that have stretched or torn over time, or to reverse gauges. Though some repairs are simple, gauge repair in particular is delicate, requiring careful symmetry and minimal scarring — work well suited to Dr. Javidnia's ENT and reconstructive training.
How it is done
Performed under local anesthesia, incisions are placed to hide the scars as much as possible. The exact approach and size are decided in your consultation. It takes about 30 to 45 minutes depending on the correction needed, as a day surgery.
Recovery
You go home with sutures under an ointment; tenderness is easily managed. Sutures are removed at seven days. There is often no bruising and minimal swelling, resolving within the first week.
