Belkyra

A double chin comes from submental fat — from weight, genetics or aging — that leaves the jawline undefined and the face and neck looking heavier and older. Belkyra (deoxycholic acid) is a minimally invasive treatment that safely and permanently removes this fat.

Deoxycholic acid occurs naturally in the body and absorbs fat; injected under the chin, it permanently destroys fat cells, often with added skin tightening and jaw contouring for a slimmer, rejuvenated look. It can be paired with a chin implant, NeckTite, or a surgical neck lift.

An injectable grid is placed over the area, and a fine needle delivers small amounts into the fat — the treatment takes 20 to 30 minutes. The number of sessions depends on the volume of fat; results appear in about four to six weeks. Afterward, patients return to normal activity, and minor swelling or bruising usually resolves within days.
